Sharetribe offers four plans. Build is test mode only — a live marketplace starts at Lite. Prices are per month; the lower figure is billed yearly, the higher is billed month-to-month:

Transaction fees: how they actually work
Sharetribe charges a flat fee per transaction, not a percentage of your sales. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of free transactions — 50 on Lite, 250 on Pro, 500 on Extend. Beyond that allowance you pay $0.19 per initiated transaction, and the rate falls as your volume grows:

A "transaction" is any attempt at a value exchange — placing an order, making a booking, or initiating a message thread (a whole back-and-forth thread counts once, not per message).
Worked example. An Extend marketplace ($299/mo billed yearly) that processes 1,000 transactions in a month gets its first 500 free, then pays 500 × $0.19 = $95 — about $394 for the month. Stripe's payment-processing fees (roughly 2.9% + 30¢) are charged separately by Stripe, on Sharetribe and Sunoblack alike.
What to factor in beyond the sticker price
- The backend is hosted SaaS — you cannot self-host Sharetribe's backend or move it to another provider. (The web template front end is open source and yours to host.)
- Monthly billing costs more — the yearly prices above need an annual commitment. Month-to-month billing is $139 / $259 / $389 for Lite / Pro / Extend — roughly 30–40% higher.
- Transaction fees grow with volume — above your plan's free allowance, every transaction adds cost, even though the per-unit rate declines at scale.
